In the 1940 Chandler Resident Directory, he is listed as the head gardener at San Marcos. He and Kathleen lived on the north side of west West Boston beyond Dakota and had the phone number 108. Fred Day and Albert Day also lived there.
William Day also also appears as a World War II veteran.
