E. D. Brown is listed in the 1919 Chandler City Directory as a farmer and in the 1920 directory as a rancher.
The 1923 directory said his address was RD1, Box 136.
The 1925 directory said he was salesman for Love Motor Co.
In the 1926 directory, Edward D. Brown appears as a salesman. He and his wife Irene lived on north California.
The 1929, 1930,  1931 and 1932 directories said he was an owner of Brown Chevrolet at 125 S. Arizona Ave. He and Irene lived 3/4 mile east of the city (Route 1). The nickname Buster appeared in 1929.
The 1932 Phoenix Telephone Directory, Chandler section, said E. D. Brown lived on a "rch"" and had the phone number 76-R4.
