He appears in the 1918192019211923 and 1925 Chandler City Directories as a rancher. His wife was Clara. The 1919 directory lists him as a ranch foreman. They lived on California St., according to the 1923 directory.

-Mr. Crisp has returned from a few weeks trip in the desert.  He was busy taking care of the cattle.

He works on the Morrison ranch, and says he is glad to be home again.  (Chandler Arizonan 4/18/1913)

-While Mr. Crisp was busy at the railroad station on Tuesday, his horse decided it was time to go home and bolted.  The animal ran a mile back to the ranch with a small amount of damage left behind.  (Chandler Arizonan 4/25/1913)

-Mr. Crisp, who has been Postmaster Morrison's right hand man, is now farming his sister's, Marie E. Lewis, farm south of town.  She has 40 acres in alfalfa.  He has a desert claim southeast of Chandler also.  (Chandler Arizonan 7/4/1913)
