He appears in the 1923, 1925 and 1930 Chandler (Arizona) City Directories as an undertaker on Commonwealth Avenue. He lived in Mesa.

The 1930 directory said he worked at 10 E. Commonwealth and still lived in Mesa.

The 1932 Phoenix Telephone Directory, Chandler section, said he was a funeral director on north Oregon and had the phone number 20.

While the 1940 Chandler Resident Directory did not include a separate listing for him, it did list M. L. Gibbons Mortuary and said it was on the west side of north Oregon beyond Buffalo.
