He appears in the 1921 Chandler (Arizona) City Directory as a shoe repairman, working at the rear of Reliable Hardware Co.
The 1923 and 1925 directories also said he was a shoe repairman working on Boston, near San Marcos Place.
The 1923 directory said he and his wife Laura Hinson lived on South Oregon.
The 1926 directory spelled the name Henson and said they lived at 113 W. Boston.
The 1929 directory said he was a shoe repairman and that he and Laura lived at 187 W. Boston. Julia Hinson also lived there.
The 1931 directory gave the same address for William, Laura and Julia and said he worked for the Curry & Hinson shoe repair business.
The 1932 directory said he worked in shoe repair.
The 1940 Chandler Resident Directory said William Hinson owned the Hinson Shoe Shop and that he and his wife Robbie lived on the south side of West Boston beyond Arizona.
