Hooker, Elon
Mr. Hooker was among the stockholders of the Mesa Improvement Company and the Consolidated Canal Company and their guests. They arrived on Wednesday for their annual tour of inspection in their private car, "Magnet." They will have their annual meeting to review the accomplishments of the last year.
Members of the party included Dwight Cutler, Lem W. Bowen, Mr. Gillis, Miss Campau, Mr. and Mrs. Backus, Mr. and Mrs. Sarmiento, Mr. and Mrs. Ferry, a nurse, and two children. (Chandler Arizonan 2/7/1913)
Mr. Hooker is the national treasurer of the Progressive Party from Colorado Springs. He is also one of six owners of the townsite.
He is here with Thomas Marshall, D.M. Ferry Jr., Lem W. Bowen, Standish Backus, Dwight Cutler, T.J. Wolfley, Mr. and Mrs. Sarmiento, Miss Campau, and a number of others. They are visiting the townsite with Dr. A.J. Chandler. (Chandler Arizonan 2/14/1913)
