-Mr. Jaycox and his friends, Milton Hanna and Richmond Peeler recently went to the Salt River Mountains and reportedly climbed the highest pinnacle.  (Chandler Arizonan 1/17/1913)

-Mr. Jaycox attended a meeting of the Little Moonbeams.  They played "500" and had a light lunch.  Others who attended were Harold CallahanLouise KohlmeyerWill MooreLee S. Parke, and RuthGrace, and Paul Johnson.  (Chandler Arizonan 5/2/1913)

-Mr. Jaycox nearly drowned while swimming a little ways north of the Granite Reef Dam.  He was swimming with his friends Paul Johnson, O.W. BergJack Gilbert, last Sunday.  Two boys were on one side while Jaycox and Johnson were on the other.  Jaycox got beyond his reach, and struggled to get ashore when Johnson came to his rescue.  (Chandler Arizonan 5/16/1913)

-Mr. Jaycox with his brother, Ralph, hosted a meeting of the Little Moonbeams at their home.  The main attraction was the Victor machine.  Those who attended were Ruth, Grace, and Paul Johnson, and Louise Kohlmeyer.  (Chandler Arizonan 5/16/1913)

-Mr. Jaycox and his brother, Ralph, went to the Granite Reef Dam on Sunday for a picnic party.  Lunch was brought by the girls, and the boys went swimming in the afternoon.

Others attending were Paul, Grace, and Ruth Johnson, Madge Peeler, Bee Peeler, Will Moore, and Lee S. Parke.  Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Morris were chaperones.  (Chandler Arizonan 6/6/1913)

-Mr. Jaycox has been hired temporarily as a clerk at Rinear and Sons Store, and he starts on Monday.  (Chandler Arizonan 7/18/1913)

-Mr. Jaycox is a member of the Boy Scouts of America. 

While out strolling the other morning, he ran across a Gila Monster, and decided on impulse to capture the animal.  He took a piece of wire from a nearby hay baler, and placed it around the animal's neck.  He dragged the animal down to the post office where he met up with some friends.  Somebody told him he might get 25 dollars for the animal from the curios in Phoenix.  Deciding he couldn't wait for the noon train, he hiked to Phoenix.  He received six bites for his efforts.  (Chandler Arizonan 7/25/1913)

-Mr. Jaycox went to a party for Robert Merrell's sister, Clara.  They met at the Johnson home before heading to his place for music on their Victor Victrola, and then to the Merrell's place.  (Chandler Arizonan 8/1/1913)
