Upshaw, Edward
Retired Chandler Police Department Commander Edward Upshaw grew up in Redlands, CA. In 1986, after spending time in the Air Force where he was stationed at nearby Williams Air Force Base, he joined the Chandler Police Department. Over the course of a nearly 34 year career, Commander Upshaw served in many roles within the department. His greatest accomplishments came in working the anti-drug, anti-gang, and youth support programs. He worked closely with Henry Salinas after the founding of ICAN to help get kids off the streets and into programs to improve their lives. Commander Upshaw retired from the Chandler Police Department in 2020.
