David Martinez, son of Julio Martinez, was a heavyweight boxer. He competed for the Arizona championship before turning pro in 1975. On September 13, 1977, he fought Mike Weaver in Anchorage, Alaska, losing by KO in the first round. David retired in 1978 with a career professional record of 1 win, 8 losses, and 1 draw. His one victory was by KO over Ray Sternberg on September 3, 1975, at the Silver Slipper in Las Vegas, Nevada.
