-Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mesios' two year old daughter was kicked in the side Wednesday morning by a horse grazing on the ranch. The child had followed her mother to get water, and toddled off too close to the animal.

Dr. K.M. Gilbert was summoned, and did everything possible for the child. It is feared that several ribs are cracked, and that the injuries are serious.

The family lives north of the Halstead Lumber Yard. Mr. Mesios has been employed on the Chandler ranch as irrigator for the past seven years, and is a well-educated Mexican. (Chandler Arizonan 2/14/1913)
