-Mrs. L.J. Montgomery with her husband were part of a rescue party to help four people in a car accident in the Eastern Canal. Other members in the rescue car were B.C. Rinear, Marie Eldridge, and Lewis Bade.
Those in the accident were J.B. Barnett, Dr. M.E. Gibbons, the ten year old daughter of S.W.J. Bowen, and Mrs. Bennett. (Chandler Arizonan 12/20/1913)
