Nishida, D.

-Mr. Nishida with Johnnie Matsuno and K. Ishikawa have leased ten acres of old alfalfa land from the Chandler Improvement Company.  The land is just west of town, and will be used for truck gardens.

For the last five years, they've been working in Mesa, and know the conditions of Arizona.  They will dig up the alfalfa soil, and in fall will prepare the land.  Their speciality is celery.

The men are well-educated and scientific farmers.  (Chandler Arizonan 8/15/1913)
