Parlich, Samantha

Samantha Parlich is a standout softball player who attended Basha High School and Arizona State University, where she earned a scholarship to play.  At Basha, Sam was twice named the East Valley Tribune Player of the Year, earned numerous All-State and All-Arizona honors, and led her team to two Arizona 5A State Championships (2008 and 2009).  She also led her team to a 7th place finish at the 2009 ASA Gold Nationals.

Sam had a decorated career at Arizona State.  She was a four year starter as a slugging second baseman.  She finished her career ranking near the top of the ASU all-time leader boards in career home runs, doubles, hits, and RBIs.  She hit 13 home runs as a sophomore, which ranks 18th all time at ASU.  Sam also excelled in the classroom, earning multiple All Pac12 Conference All-Academic team honors, and being named a First Team Academic All-American as a senior.Â
