“Michael William McCoy was born 6/25/1941 in Windom, MN to William F and Leona McCoy. He graduated high school in Jackson, MN and was drafted into the US Army in 1968. He served in Vietnam as a medic for 18 months before returning in 1969. He moved to Chandler in 1982 and became a member of American Legion Post 35. With his first wife, Phyllis, Michael had three sons: Sean, Christopher, and Michael. He had two more sons with his second wife, Beverly: Patrick and Kevin.
