-Miss Eldridge was part of a rescue party that helped rescue four people from a car accident in the Eastern Canal. Others in her car were B.C. Rinear, Mr. and Mrs. L.J. Montgomery, and Lewis Bade.
People who were rescued included J.B. Barnett, Dr. M.E. Gibbons, ten year old daughter of S.W.J. Bowen, and Mrs. Bennett. (Chandler Arizonan 12/20/1912)
-Last Wednesday, Miss Eldridge and Berton C. Rinear were married. The young couple first met in Chandler.
The bridal party included Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Eldridge, Mr. Montgomery, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, and the young couple. They went to Phoenix on Wednesday morning, and were married by the minister at the church there. They returned home the next day.
She is 18 years old,and is accomplished and possesses literary ability having written poems and verses. She was born in Galesburg, Illinois, and came to Chandler last April with her parents who bought 20 acres east of town.
She has a brother and two sisters in Porterville, California.
Soon after coming to Chandler, she met Mrs. Montgomery, sister of bridegroom, and became good friends. She would go to the home of the Rinear's, and soon met Berton Rinear.
They will be making their home here in Chandler, and a commodious quarters have been built for them near the home of the elder Rinear, and they will occupy it right away. (Chandler Arizonan 2/14/1913)
-Mrs. Rinear went with Mrs. L.J. Montgomery, E.D. Rinear, Master DeRoss Montgomery to the Roosevelt Dam on Sunday morning to go camping. They came back Sunday night when they couldn't find a suitable place to camp. Instead they decided to go to the Granite Reef Dam to remain for some time. (Chandler Arizonan 4/11/1913)
-Mrs. Rinear went with her husband, B.C., Mr. and Mrs. Montgomery, and son, DeRoss, to the Granite Reef Dam. They met up with E.D. Rinear, who has been camping there for about a month. When the sluice gates were closed for cleaning, they were able to catch fish by hand. They were able to catch so many, and they brought them to Chandler for a fish fry. (Chandler Arizonan 4/25/1913)
-Mr. and Mrs. Berton Rinear went with Mrs. Logan Montgomery and her son, DeRoss, and Mrs. S.A. Meyer to Phoenix on Monday afternoon on a short shopping expedition. (Chandler Arizonan 6/27/1913)
-Mr. and Mrs. Rinear have moved back to town from the ranch west of town. They have taken a cottage near the school house which is owned by a Phoenix man. They moved in on Tuesday. (Chandler Arizonan 7/11/1913)Â
