He appears in the 1923  and 1925 Chandler City Directories as manager of the Menhennet Theatre. He lived at the Sahuaro Hotel.

The 1926 directory said he was manager of the Menhennet Theatre and confectionary on west Boston.

The 1929 and 1930 directories also said he mamaged that theater and lived with his wife Thelma at 128 N. Colorado.

The 1931 and 1932 directories said he managed the Granada Theatre and that he and Thelma lived at 118 N. Colorado.

The 1932 Phoenix Telephone Directory, Chandler section, said A. P. Stauss lived west of Chandler and had the phone number 81-Jr.
