Stevens, A. E.

Sometimes spelled Stephens.

-Mr. Stevens was one of the speakers at the first meeting of the Chandler Egyptian Cotton Growers' Association.  He was also named to a committee who would travel to Mesa to see about affliating with their association.  At the end of the meeting, he pledged to grow a certain amount of acres of cotton.
 

At the second meeting, he was appointed to the advisory board which will become the board of directors.  He also gave one dollar to become part of the stock list.  (Chandler Arizonan 3/28/1913)

-At a meeting he was appointed to the board of directors for the Chandler Egyptian Cotton Growers' Association where the by-laws were written and elections held.  (Chandler Arizonan 4/25/1913)

-Mr. Stevens has 12 acres of cotton planted.  (Chandler Arizonan 5/16/1913)

-At the first annual meeting of the Chandler Egyptian Cotton Growers' Association, he was reelected to the board of directors.

-Mr. Stevens' two year old son is very sick with indigestion.  He will get better, and is well on his way to health.

-Mr. Stevens with other directors of the Chandler Egyptian Cotton Growers' Association went to the Mesa Cotton Exchange meeting to arrange a deal for ginning or to erect a gin, but to no avail.  They they met with the Chandler Improvement Company.  (Chandler Arizonan 6/13/1913)

-Mr. Stevens' wife and children have left for California for three months.  He will take pot luck, and will concentrate on his farm and cotton.  (Chandler Arizonan 6/13/1913)
