Kenny Walker scores the only touchdown of the 1974 Fiesta Bowl

Kenny Walker was a standout athlete at Chandler High School in the 1960s and 1970s.  He played baseball, basketball, track and field, and football.  He excelled at football, and despite several high level scholarship offers stayed close to home for his first two years of college, attending Mesa Community College.  He helped lead MCC to a National Championship in his second year, when he also gained All-American honors for himself.  He transferred to Oklahoma State University.  In the 1974 Fiesta Bowl against BYU Kenny ran for the game's only touchdown - a decisive play that brought the Fiesta Bowl title to OSU.  Kenny was named MVP of the Fiesta Bowl.
