-Mr. Works purchased 40 acres on the Chandler ranch near the townsite.

He is from Macomb, Illinois, and is a banker.

He will arrive in Chandler between September 1st and the 15th, and will remain here.

The family will remain in Illinois until a home is built.

He had traveled throughout California looking for a place to make a home before coming to Chandler.  (Chandler Arizonan 8/23/1912)
