02. Solar Energy

Dr. Chandler was the first person to purchase a solar energy system.  He bought it from Aubrey Eneas, who formed the first solar energy company.  Eneas designed and built a solar motor at the Cawston Ostrich Farm in Pasadena, California.  After viewing it, Dr. Chandler purchased one for his ranch for $2,160.  Within a week, a windstorm destroyed the solar panels and ended Dr. Chandler’s experimentation with solar energy.
