05. The Cudney House

Dr. Chandler planned for Wright designed houses to surround the San Marcos in the Desert. One of these was a house designed for Wright’s friends Wellington and Ralph Cudney. The Cudney House was modeled after the center section of the San Marcos in the Desert. It was a two story house, with living rooms on the bottom floor and bedrooms on the top floor. It was to be built of the same textile and glass blocks from the hotel.
