The Goodykoontz Family Road Trip
In 1926 the Goodykoontz family (Von, Myrtle, Olive, Harold, Kent, and Mildred) packed up their belongings, mailed ahead anything that wouldn't fit in their car, and drove from the Liberty Township in Indiana to their new home in Arizona.
The trip lasted from November 3 to November 27 and spanned several states.

Both Olive and Harold wrote journals about the 24-day road trip with Harold keeping track of all maintenance done on the family's car including refueling. The family made several stops along the way to Arizona, visiting family friends and relatives who lived along their route.
