Valley Investment Company

-With a $150,000 capital stock, the Valley Investment Company will be working towards building complete homes for the people of Chandler.  Each home will be built for $1,500 to $2,500.  The stock is worth one dollar, but most of it has been bought up.

The organizers are all Chandler men.  They include Dr. A.J. Chandler, R.M. Turner, J.R. Loftus, J.R. Halstead, Joe Cashman, C.J. Berg, and Oris Holdren.  When they incorporate, than an election of officers will be held.

Joe Cashman is in Los Angeles learning about the best building materials to use in Chandler, and gathering plans for homes.

The first home will be built for J.R. Loftus on Arizona Blvd for $2,000.

Since they will be building in massive amounts, they can get better deals on lumber, and build cheaper homes.  (Chandler Arizonan 8/1/1913)

-Mr. Cashman, who is in charge of the building of homes for the Company, has come back from California.  He believes cement and concrete are best for Chandler.  (Chandler Arizonan 8/8/1913)Â
