W. H. Sherwin and Company

Will later become Delmar Williams Grocer & Meat Market.

-A meat market is being built by W.H. Sherwin of Kansas and others from Colorado on the corners of Colorado and Atlanta.  (Chandler Arizonan 12/20/1912)

-The company is making improvements including a large refridgerator for the care of meats which is being built by Ed Watson, an expert woodworker, and a roomy ice chest to store ice.  (Chandler Arizonan 1/24/1913)

-The icebox is almost finished at the meat market.  Soon W.H. Sherwin will be able to keep his meats fresh and cooled.  (Chandler Arizonan 1/31/1913)

-T.E. Spindle has become a partner of the company.  He has 29 years of experience in Colorado, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.  (Chandler Arizonan 2/21/1913)

-In the last week, the company has added a line of groceries and fresh vegetables.  They've also added a delivery system to all parts of Chandler.  (Chandler Arizonan 3/7/1913)

-The store is building an addition, so they can add a line of groceries to their meat business.  Business has grown rapidly, and needs more room for their stock.  (Chandler Arizonan 3/28/1913)

-The company is building an ice house and storage room in the rear of the store.  The ice house will be capable of holding sufficient ice to supply the needs of Chandler this summer.  (Chandler Arizonan 4/4/1913)

-A change of partners happened last week.  T.E. Spindle has sold his share in the company.  He sold his interest to Delmar Williams of Fresno county, California.

Mr. Williams is an expert in meats having been in the business for ten years.  He will move his family here as soon as he finds a place for them.  Mr. Spindle's plans are not known.
