The 1932 Phoenix Telephone Directory, Chandler section, said Brown Chevrolet Co. was on South Arizona Ave. and had the phone number 172.

In the 1940 Chandler Resident Directory,  R. E. Brown appears as manager. The location and phone number were the same as in 1932.
