-Mr. and Mrs. James N. Black and their two children were made seriously ill last Saturday night by ptomaine poisoning.  It is not known what caused the sickness, but it is believed that foodstuffs left in tins were the cause.

Parents ate the food for the evening meal with their children.  A few hours later, Mrs. Black got very ill, and a short time later so did the rest of the family.  Dr. Gilbert was summoned and found the four in very serious condition.  The children are around the ages of 12 and 13.

By hardwork, Dr. Gilbert succeeded in making them comfortable, and are now to be believed to be out of danger.
