Blanchard, C. J.

Mr. Blanchard is a statisician for the U.S. Reclamation Service.  He is in the valley to determine if the government should promote the valley for farming.

He will give 12 illustrated lectures in New York on the subject.

He is in control of 30 western projects, and is an old newspaperman having worked for the Omaha Bee, and his father worked for a newspaper in Dubuque, Iowa.

He won't promote the area if he feels that a farmer couldn't do well in the valley as just a farmer.  (Chandler Arizonan 8/15/1913)
