Chandler Ranch

Listed as the Chandler Improvement Co. Ranch in the 1921 and 1923 Chandler City Directories as being at the "ft" (foot?) of Boston St.

-Foreman F.E. Blackshere says 1400 acres of hay will be harvested starting Monday.  He will use a large group of men to get it done rapidly.  They expect 1,500 tons from the cutting.  (Chandler Arizonan 4/18/1913)

-Foreman Blackshere announced Tuesday the completion of the cutting of 600 acres of alfalfa which averaged a ton per acre.  A sample of the alfalfa over five feet tall was sent to Los Angeles office for exhibition purposes.  (Chandler Arizonan 5/9/1913)

-The blacksmith shop at the farm headquarters has been closed, and all future work will be Mr. Clements.
