He appears in the 1918 Chandler City Directory as "resident Gilbert". 

He is probably William Henry Lang, a World War I veteran. A photo of William Henry Lang also appears in the Chandler archives.

The 1921 directory shows W. H. Lang as being in the hay business.

The 1926 directory said he worked at a gas station on north Arizona and that his wife was ElminaRalph Lang lived with them.

The 1929 directory said he worked at a gas station at 11 E. Buffalo and that he and his wife Emma lived at 220 E. Cleveland.

The 1930 directory  said he worked at a gas station on east Buffalo at the corner of Arizona Ave. and that he and Elmina lived at 345 N. Washington. The 1931 directory said he worked at a service station and said they still had the same home address.

In the 1940 Chandler Resident Directory, he appears as owner of Bill Langs Service station and lived with Elmina on the east side of north Arizona, beyond Buffalo. Their phone number was 140.
