-Mrs. Halstead hosted a party to play 500 for her friend, Elsie Liggett of St. Joseph, Missouri, last Thursday.  It was the first party in her new home.  Mrs. R.M. Turner proved to be the most skillful player winning first prize which was an Indian basket.

Following the game, a dainty lunch was served consisting of a combination of salad, bread and butter sandwiches, pickles, olives, potato chips, pineapple, ice cream, and coffee.

The party lasted until a late hour, and everyone had a wonderful time.

The ladies who attended were Mrs. G.H. Binkley, Mrs. R.M. Turner, Miss Lillian Fredericks, Mrs. F.V.N. Dana, Mrs. E.W. Hanna, Mrs. G.L. Gollands, Mrs. D.M. Arnold, Mrs. Frank D. Smith, Mrs. S.S. Bradley, Mrs. B.M. Crenshaw, and Mrs. Ella Page Seward.  (Chandler Arizonan 4/18/1913)

-Mrs. Halstead's visitor, Elsie Frances Liggett has left for her home in Missouri.  Miss Liggett was here for several weeks.  (Chandler Arizonan 5/9/1913)

-Mrs. L.S. Coffey, sister of Mr. Halstead, spent a few days here visiting.  Then on Sunday, Mrs. Halstead went with her to Phoenix to visit.  (Chandler Arizonan 6/20/1913)

-Mrs. Halstead visited Mrs. G.H. Binkley in Mesa, last Thursday, and she had an enjoyable afternoon.  (Chandler Arizonan 6/27/1913)

-Mrs. Halstead's friend, Elsie Frances Liggett, who visited here for several weeks was married recently at her home near St. Joseph, Missouri.  (Chandler Arizonan 7/18/1913)

-Mrs. Halstead and her husband are leaving next week on a lengthy vacation.  Mrs. Halstead will be going to Kansas City for a visit with Mrs. Hawthorne, formerly Miss Liggett.  She will be gone for several months.

Mr. Halstead will go to the coast, and then he will go up to Seattle for a visit among the lumber mills.  He will be gone for a month.  (Chandler Arizonan 8/1/1913)
