He appears in the 1917 Chandler City Directory as a farmer.

The 1931 and 1932 directories said J. H. Keith had the address P. O. Box 1102. He could be the same as John Keith.

-Mr. Keith is visiting Chandler with Jerome Elbertson from eastern Oklahoma.

He says Chandler is exactly what the literature says it is like here.  He says it is the only place that has accurately represented itself.  (Chandler Arizonan 7/25/1913)

-Mr. Keith bought 160 acres, and plans to come back in October to plant.  His land is in section 10, and bought for $150 an acre.  (Chandler Arizonan 7/25/1913)

-Mr. Keith went with Jerome Elbertson, J.R. Loftus, Joe Cashman, and F.V.N. Dana to the Roosevelt Dam, last Sunday.  Oris Holdren was at the wheel.  They enjoyed the trip.  (Chandler Arizonan 7/25/1913)

-Mr. Keith's son, L. Keith, took sick while on the train coming to Chandler from Oklahoma.  He began to develop symptoms on the train, but soon was diagnosed with typhoid fever.  His son will be confined here for several weeks, and the doctors here are taking care of him.  (Chandler Arizonan 8/15/1913)
