-Mr. McGaughey attended a surprise party for Ora Rogers on Saturday night.  Then on Wednesday night went to a surprise party for John Hansen.  (Chandler Arizonan 7/18/1913)

-Mr. McGaughey with his father J. McGaughey, brother, William, and H.T. Armistead are wanting to buy 1,000 acres in one tract or two close together.  The land can be part brush and part alfalfa, or if there is no house then improved.  They want to lease it for long term.

They have farmed successfully in the district for over a year.  (Chandler Arizonan 8/15/1913)

He appears in the 1923 Chandler City Directory as an auto mechanic. He and his wife Fay lived on north Oregon St.

The 1925 and 1926 directories said he worked as an auto mechanic for Wayne Heffner. He and Fay lived on west Chicago.

The 1929 directory said he was a mechanic for S. D. Butterfield and that he and Fay lived at 250 N. Colorado.

The 1930 directory called him a foreman for Brown Chevrolet Co. and said he and Faye lived at 257 N. Colorado.

The 1931 and 1932 directories also said he was a foreman for Brown Chevrolet and that he and Faye lived at 320 N. Colorado.

In the 1940 Chandler Resident Directory, Otto McGaughey appears as a mechanic at Brown Chevrolet. He and Fae lived on the north side of west Cleveland beyond north California streets.
