Tomes, Jack
Colonel Jack Tomes was born in Globe, Arizona. As a fighter pilot in the Vietnam War, Colonel Tomes was shot down in flight on July 7, 1966 and captured as a Prisoner of War for seven years until February 12, 1973 in North Vietnam. Upon release, Colonel Tomes returned to Arizona and settled in Chandler.
