Muslim Community/Chandler Mosque

The first mosque built in Chandler was in construction for over 13 years, finally opening in 2009. It stands as a traditional style mosque with a crescent topped dome and interior balcony. The community faced difficulties raising money for construction, and islamophobia plagued nearby neighborhoods after September 11th, 2001.
