Kyrene School
Kyrene School was a small school house located at the corner of McClintock Road and Warner Road. It was built to serve students in the area known as the Kyrene district, which at the time was bordered by today’s Guadalupe Road, 56th Street, Pecos Road, and Price Road. The original school house was a single wooden structure which blew over in a monsoon storm. Subsequent buildings were much sturdier, and served students into the 1960s, when the district began to expand.
