The 1930 directory said he worked at 10 E. Commonwealth and still lived in Mesa.
The 1932 Phoenix Telephone Directory, Chandler section, said he was a funeral director on north Oregon and had the phone number 20.
While the 1940 Chandler Resident Directory did not include a separate listing for him, it did list M. L. Gibbons Mortuary and said it was on the west side of north Oregon beyond Buffalo.
