Ishikawa, K.

Mr. Ishikawa with Johnnie Matsuno and D. Nishida have leased ten acres of old alfalfa land from the Chandler Improvement Company just west of town.  The land will be used for truck gardens.

For the last five years, they've been working in Mesa, and they know the conditions in Arizona.  They will dig up the alfalfa soil, and in the fall, they will prepare the land.  Their specialty is celery.

The men are well-educated and are scientific farmers.  (Chandler Arizonan 8/15/1913)
