Callahan, Harold

H. Callahan and Claude Hanna have bought the fixtures and reopened the pool hall formerly operated by G.H. Glancey.  They have added a fine line of cigars, tobaccos, and some confections. 

They are very popular and well known men in Chandler.  (Chandler Arizonan 1/24/1913)

-Mr. Callahan, contractor and builder, will begin building a $2500 bungalow on Arizona Avenue on land one block past the Chandler school.  The structure will be of a Swiss Chalet style with shakes siding and white asbestos roof.

He has rented the residence to Russell Halstead for one year, and with a force of men will push it to completion as rapidly as possible.  (Chandler Arizonan 1/24/1913)

-Mr. Callahan was supposed to be a witness in the trial against J.R. Halstead for bootlegging.  The case was dropped before witnesses were called.  (Chandler Arizonan 4/11/1913)

-Mr. Callahan was at a party of the Little Moonbeams at the home of G.R. Johnson on Wednesday night.  (Chandler Arizonan 4/25/1913)

-A meeting of the Little Moonbeams was held last week at the Johnson's home.  They played "500," and had a light lunch afterwards.  Others who attended were Lester Jaycox, Louise Kohlmeyer, Will MooreLee S. Parke, and Ruth, Grace, and Paul Johnson.  (Chandler Arizonan 5/2/1913)

-Mr. Callahan is the sole owner of the Chandler Pool Hall after buying out Claude Hanna.  He plans to run the place in the same manner, and has hired David Crisp to help out.
