Curtiss, Fred J.
He appears in the 1919 Chandler (Arizona) City Directory as a public school principal.
According to the 1920 directory, Curtiss was superintendent of schools and high school principal for Chandler Schools. His home was on Washington, near Detroit. His wife was Pearl Scott and Vienna Curtiss also lived with them (1923, 1925)
The 1921 and 1923 directories  said he was a grade school teacher, living on California.Â
The 1925 and 1926 Chandler City Directories listed him as a grade or grammar school teacher and said he and Pearl lived at 300 N. Washington.
According to the 1929 directory, they lived at 298 W. Washington. He was a teacher at Chandler Junior High. The 1930 directory said he was a teacher at the junior high school and that they lived at 300 N. Washington.
The 1931 and 1932 directories also identified him as a teacher but didn't say where he worked. He and Pearl had the same address.
 Vienna Curtiss lived with them in 1932.
The 1932 Phoenix Telephone Directory, Chandler section, said Fred J. Curtiss lived on north Washington and Detroit and his home phone number was 28.
The 1940 Chandler Resident Directory said he was a teacher at Chandler School and that he and Pearl lived on the west side of North Washington beyond Detroit. Their phone number was 186.
