He appears in the 1917 , 1918 ,1919, 1920 and 1921 Chandler City Directories  as proprietor or owner of the  White House Cash Store. His wife was Margaret G. The 1920, 1921 and 1923 directories show John R. Musser living with them on south Oregon St.

The 1925 directory said he was a rancher, living with Margaret on south Oregon.
