Anglin, Deanna

An Arizona legend in the sport of Volleyball, Anglin led the Valley Christian girls program for eleven years compiling a record of 316 win against only 44 losses.  Her squad won the Arizona 2A Championship eight consecutive years from 1993 to 2000.  During her tenure, Anglin’s hard work and expertise produced eleven Division I scholarship recruits.  Her 1999 Valley Christian squad finished the season as the # 5 ranked team in the nation.  Deanna has been honored numerous times in winning Coach of the Year awards.  However, none may be more prestigious than her 2000 Arizona Coach of the Year award presented by the National Federation of State High School Associations.  Retired from coaching, Deanna and her husband live in Maricopa, AZ.

On October 2, 2010, Deanna Anglin recorded an oral history for her induction into the Chandler Sports Hall of Fame.
