He appears in the 1919, 1920 and 1921 Chandler City Directories as a rancher.  This is possibly the same George B. Appleby who made an oral  history.

 G. Appleby also is listed in the 1923 and 1925 directories, with an address of RD 1, Box 77, and as a rancher.

The 1930, 1931 and 1932 Chandler (Arizona) City Directories said George B. Appleby lived on Route 1.
