Barack Obama is the 44th President of the United States.  He was elected to his first term in office in 2008 and is up for re-election in 2012.  Prior to serving as President, he was the junior Senator from Illinois from 2005 to 2008.  On January 25, 2012 - the day after his State of the Union address - President Obama visited Chandler.  He went to Intel's Ocotillo plant, at the time in the midst of a $5 billion dollar expansion project.  The president spent the afternoon of Wednesday, January 25, 2012, touring the facility and giving a speech on job creation.
