He is listed in the 1916 and 1917 Chandler town directories as a rancher.

-Mr. Ware has sold 22 head of cows to J.H. Quartier.  (Chandler Arizonan 1/17/1913)

-Mr. Ware is selling good Plymouth Rock chickens.  His home is five miles south of Chandler.  (Chandler Arizonan 3/7/1913)

-Mr. Ware is setting out fruit trees including peaches, pears, and apricots.  He also has 90 acres of alfalfa on which he is feeding his beef cattle.

-Mr. Ware is a prosperous rancher living south of town.

He plans to build a $1,500 home on his place at once.  He wants a five to six room cottage, and wants to work to start right away.  He came into town Monday submitting plans to the contractors for bids and estimates.  (Chandler Arizonan 4/4/1913)
