-Mr. Bowen was among the stockholders of the Mesa Improvement Company and the Consolidated Canal Company, and their guests who arrived Wednesday for their annual tour of inspection in their private car, "Magnet."  The stockholders will have their annual meeting and review the past year's accomplishments.

Members of the party: Dwight Cutler, Mr. Hooker, Mr. Gillis, Miss Campau, Mr. and Mrs. Backus, and Mr. and Mrs. Sarmiento, Mr. and Mrs. Ferry, a nurse, and two children.  (Chandler Arizonan 2/7/1913)

-Mr. Bowen is the president of the Ferry Seed Company in Detroit.

He is here to view the townsite with Thomas Marshall, Elon Hooker, D.M. Ferry Jr., Dwight Cutler, Standish Backus, T.J. Wolfley, Mr. Gillis, Mr. and Mrs. Sarmiento, and Miss Campau.  They are having dinner with Dr. A.J. Chandler.  (Chandler Arizonan 2/14/1913)

-Mr. Bowen has retired from the Chandler Improvement Company board, because of lack of time and distance to do the work needed.  The rest of the board had retired with him.
