-Mr. Centano, a Mexican, was driving Mr. Modena's rig in from the Chandler ranch, when near Roscoe's Store the pony suddenly reared and became tangled up in the shafts.  Mr. Centano at the time was getting ready to tie up the pony.

Mrs. Centano was shaken up while another passenger, Mrs. Modena, was scratched on the face trying to get out of the rig.  Mrs. Modena's daughter and baby were fine.  (Chandler Arizonan 3/21/1913)
