Mrs. Cooper is the oldest of 5 daughters of Mr. and Mrs. A.T. Parkinson.

She eloped with Rex Cooper on Monday morning. She had only met him a few weeks before when he stayed at the house while getting settled here in Chandler.

They rented a horse and buggy from M. J. Trainer early Monday morning and headed to Phoenix. They got a license at the license office and with help of friends went to the judge's chambers to be married. All the while, they were being chased by her father and brother, Cecil. They were married by Judge John C. Phillips.

The couple will make their home in Chandler, and Mr. Cooper will continue working for M.J. Trainer in the barber shop.

She is originally from Hemet, California, and is 18 years old. (Chandler Arizonan 6/20/1913)
