He is listed in the 1916, 1917, 1918,  1919, 1920 and 1921 Chandler directories as secretary and manager for the Chandler Improvement Co. His wife is

Rafaela B., spelled Rafael in the 1917 directory.

The 1919 directory also lists him as secretary of the Consolidated Canal Co.  The 1920 directory shows him and Rafaela living on north Colorado Street and an Ernest Koch Jr. living with them.

The 1923 directory said he was vice president of the Bank of Chandler and secretary and manager of Chandler Improvement Co. Ernest J. Jr. and Rafaela lived with him.

1925 directory: vice president of Bank of Chandler; secretary of San Marcos Hotel Co.; secretary and manager of Chandler Land & Securities Co.. He lived on north Colorado, with Rafaela and Ernest J. Jr. The 1926 directory showed the same, except that Ernest J. Jr. was not mentioned.

The 1929 directory said he was an engineer for the Chandler Improvement Co. and that he lived at 233 N. Colorado.

The 1931 and 1932 directories said Ernest Koch had the address P. O. Box 26. (That could be the son.)

-Mr. Koch is chief auditor of the Chandler Improvement Company.  He had business before the Water Users' Association in Phoenix on Wednesday.  (Chandler Arizonan 1/17/1913)

-He went to Phoenix last Saturday on business.

-Mr. Koch has left his auditor position with Chandler Improvement Company to go back to mining in New York City after visiting family in California.  Then he will eventually travel to Mexico.  He will be replaced by Mr. Connell.  (Chandler Arizonan 3/28/1913)
