DePiano, Miachelle
“I served primarily as an intelligence analyst the majority of my 13 years; I specialized in OPSEC missions, listening to US radio and telephone conversations to determine who was giving away classified material, and in analyzing domestic and foreign threats to US military technologies through various intelligence collection capabilities. Toward the end of my career, I was forced to reclassify because the Army was getting rid of my MOS, so I became a counterintelligence agent. As soon as I graduated, I was sent to Croatia, toward the end when Croatia was more peaceful. It was still rather dangerous, with landmines planted everywhere by the Serbs. My experience in Croatia in dealing with the three factions and the various government entities was a first-hand lesson in international politics and policies.” - brief biography of military service submitted by Miachelle DePiano
