She appears in the 1925 Chandler (Arizona) City Directory as a grade school teacher.

The 1926 directory said she was a high school teacher, living on California.

She also appears in the 1929 directory as a teacher at Chandler Grade School and the wife of Orson A. Phelps. They lived at 245 N. Dakota. 

The 1930 directory said she was a teacher at the Winn Addition School and lived at 245 N. Dakota.

The 1931 and 1932 directories  just said Rebecca Phelps had the address P. O. Box 5.
